PDIP Withdraws Report, Puan Maharani's Billboard Vandalism Case Is Written As Open BO Ends Peacefully
BATU - The vandalism case of Puan Maharani's billboard written by Open BO in Batu City, East Java, ended peacefully.
The DPC PDIP Kota Batu has officially withdrawn the report against two men who had just graduated from high school as perpetrators of vandalism. The two perpetrators with the initials S and SF apologized.
The peace agreement was made after the perpetrators and the complainant signed a peace letter at the PDIP DPC office in Batu. The parents of the two perpetrators were also present.
The chairman of the PDIP DPC Batu Punjul Santoso said his party had forgiven the perpetrators. According to him, these two youths are the nation's generation who have the right to express and aspire.
However, said Punjul, criticism can be conveyed in a good and right way. Not by degrading someone's reputation.
"There are other, better ways. We're not allergic to criticism, just tell us," he said, Thursday, September 2.
He hopes that this case will be a lesson learned together. “Anyone asked if the billboard was made big? It's not about that, but it's just a lesson for all,” said Punjul.
While the two perpetrators admitted to vandalism because of the expression of spontaneity. In addition to billboards, the perpetrators also scribbled on other objects.
"They admitted that they participated in a vandal competition held by the underground community in Malang, the prize was Rp. 5 million," said Punjul.
Meanwhile, RYT's parents apologized for their son's actions. He hopes this case will be a lesson for his son.
"Hopefully nothing will happen again," he said.
