Viral Parking Attendants In Denpasar Bali Wearing Masks From Coconut Shells

DENPASAR - A parking attendant in Denpasar, Bali, named Nengah Budiasa (44) wore a mask made of coconut shells.

The action carried out by the man from Susut District, Bangli Regency, Bali, has also gone viral on social media. The mask made of coconut shells is given a whistle in the middle to facilitate its activities as a parking attendant.

"It's very comfortable to use. It's also good to talk about," said Budiasa, Thursday, September 2.

Budiasa is a parking attendant on Jalan WR Supratman Kesiman Kertalangu, Denpasar, Bali. He said that initially he had made a coconut shell mask because his customers were often reprimanded by his customers about the dirty medical masks he used.

In addition, his customers are often given new medical masks to keep them clean. However, according to him, the masks he wears also get dirty quickly because of his activities.

"It's difficult if I wear a medical mask, I have to use a whistle for traffic, it gets dirty quickly, and the customers protest a lot too," he added.

Therefore, Budiasa made masks from coconut shells. There is a hole in the center for the whistle.

"I thought that I was ashamed, I made it like this. From last Friday I made it. Then yesterday, Monday (30/8) I used it," he said.

This coconut shell mask is used only when working. After that, he washed the coconut shell mask.

"After finishing work, they are immediately washed and dried in the sun, the next day they are used again," he said.

"(This mask is made) from the rest of the coconut shell, don't buy a whistle, I immediately glue it, it's comfortable to wear," continued Budiasa.
