Drug Debt Becomes Excuse For Child Murder In Jambi
JAKARTA - A man named Sawabi Ikhsan was determined to kill and rape a teenager with the initials M. This lecherous act was carried out by Sawabi in a rubber plantation in Sukasari Village, Sarolangun District, Jambi, on April 15.
To the police, Sawabi admitted that he had the heart to kill the 15-year-old boy, because he was upset with his father who had not paid his debt. In fact, he claimed a debt of Rp. 2.1 million for the purchase of drugs.
Kapolres Sarolangun, AKBP Deny Heryanto confirmed the rape that led to murder. However, the recognition that the debt was related to the purchase of drugs was not justified.
This is because after examining the victim's father, there is no evidence that he used or was involved in drug trafficking. So that it is just an excuse for the perpetrators.
"That is just his confession. In fact, based on the examination of the victim's father, it is not proven that there is a drug debt," Deny told VOI, Thursday, July 2.
According to Deny, the existing evidence points to acts of rape and murder. So, the police did not go into anything related to drugs.
"So far the direction has been to rape and then murder. For drug debt, nothing has led to it," Deny concluded.
Chronology of eventsThe incident started when the victim wanted to study in groups at a friend's house and left alone. He went to his friend's house on foot.
However, until evening the victim did not arrive at the destination. Some of his colleagues also tried to contact. But in vain because there was no answer or reply. Even until night fell, the victim did not return home.
Thus, the victim's parents and relatives, said Deny, looked for and traced the path the victim had passed. The search also found a bright spot. This is because the veil or headscarf worn by the victim was found on the edge of a rubber plantation.
So, the search was continued by combing deeper into the rubber plantation. Not far from the location where the veil was found, the victim's right shoe was also found.
However, the anxiety of the victim's family was getting worse. This is because the veil that was found was damaged, or rather torn.
"When the victim's hood was found, it was torn like a sharp incision," he said
The family continues to look for the victim. Until finally the teenager was found lifeless and covered in blood and without clothes.
With this finding, the family immediately reported the case to the police. After several days of investigation, Sawabi was arrested without a fight.
"We arrested the suspect at his house in RT 03 Sukasari Urban Village, Sarolangun Regency, Jambi," said Deny.
