BMKG Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain Potentially Occurs In Several Provinces Of Indonesia, Thursday 2 September
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency predicts heavy rains accompanied by strong winds and lightning have the potential to occur in several parts of Indonesia, such as Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi. Thursday, it was stated that the forecast for heavy rain accompanied by wind and lightning could potentially occur in the Riau Islands, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands and Lampung. Other provinces that have the potential to experience the same thing are West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo , Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Maluku, West Papua and Papua. While rain with lighter intensity can occur in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jambi and South Kalimantan.
BMKG also predicts the potential for strong winds to occur in areas in Aceh, Bali and East Nusa Tenggara. Regarding the potential for rain, the BMKG warns that several areas are included in the flood alert category today, such as Bengkulu, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. Other areas that fall into the flood alert category are North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua. the area where wind speed converges or converges at several points, such as extending in Aceh and the western waters of Lampung and in Central Java. The same situation was observed in the southern waters of South Kalimantan to Central Kalimantan, from Southeast Sulawesi to the Makassar Strait, in the southern waters of NTT, in Maluku , in West Papua and Papua.
