One UI 3.1.1 Brings New Feature Changes To Samsung Foldable Devices
JAKARTA - Samsung has just released the One UI 3.1.1 update which has also been embedded in their latest foldable phone, the fierce duo Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. With this software update, Samsung packs several new features to enhance the experience that can folded.
However, Samsung is only expanding on features that can only be found on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3, as well as on devices released in recent years. This includes the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Z Flip, and the first Galaxy Fold.

Drag & Split
One key feature that will be available on all foldable devices for Samsung is Drag & Split. This feature allows users to drag a link to the edge of their screen to open it in a new window. This allows users to skip opening new tabs and switching between windows.
This feature will work with Samsung Internet, Samsung Notes, My Files, Messages, MS Office, OneNote, OneDrive, and many more. Drag & Split support will be available on the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Z Flip.
Multi-active Window & Natural Window Switching
With this new feature, users will be able to work with multiple windows for an application at once. Users can also use up to three apps at the same time and customize them according to their wishes. Unlike Drag & split, this feature will not be available on Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Z Flip.
Ratio for Apps
Customized App Aspect Ratio, allows users to find individual apps with four options. Application defaults, 4:3 aspect ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio, and full screen should be available for each individual application. This feature has also been passed down to Galaxy Z Fold devices.
As with the Multi-active Window & Natural Window Switching feature, the ability to set custom aspect ratios for apps will be limited to the original Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Fold.
Pinned Taskbar
Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Fold users will also get the ability to pin apps to the persistent taskbar with the One UI 3.1.1 update.
This will allow users to easily access the most used apps on the home screen. Apart from that, this feature also allows users to switch between their favorite apps without needing to return to the home screen or app tabs. This feature will not be available on the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Z Flip.
Along with the aforementioned features, One UI 3.1.1 for older Galaxy foldable devices will also give users the ability to rotate all apps, view specific apps in split-screen view, force Flex Mode on unsupported apps, and mirror screens. cover with main screen.
It's worth noting that Samsung has also started rolling out One UI 3.1.1 to a number of other devices, including the Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 10 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, and Galaxy A52 5G.
