Strictly Monitored By COVID-19 Task Force, Schools Violating Prokes Will Be Closed
JAKARTA - Schools found to have violated the health protocol (Prokes) in the application of Face-to-face Learning (PTM) will certainly be closed. The statement was conveyed by the Chairperson of Commission E for Welfare of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Iman Satria along with other members of the Commission E board.
"Schools that violate will certainly be closed, if there are findings. But initially we gave a warning first, if not heeded, they will be closed," said Iman while reviewing PTM at SMA 77 Cempaka Putih, Wednesday, September 1.
According to Iman, the closure was carried out to prevent new clusters at the student level. But he hopes that doesn't happen. All schools are expected to obey the prokes rules amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Today, we from Commission E conducted a review in 5 areas, one of which is SMA 77. So far there have been no findings," he said.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMA 77, Sri Ramoni Utami, said that on the second day, there were no complaints. All students and staff are in good health.
"Everyone is always in good health until the second day of PTM. All students and educators are required to follow the health procedure and have their body temperature checked," he said.
Confirmed separately, Central Jakarta PP Headquarters Bernard Tambunan said, when PTM took place in each school, his party also monitored health protocols and the number of students in each class.
"We are monitoring not to violate the provisions. If at Imdagri number 35, schools are allowed to PTM at level 3. Education may be with a capacity of 50 percent. We will continue to monitor it," he said when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, September 1, afternoon.
Although Satpol PP has limited personnel, he still manages the quota of its members so that they can continue to oversee the implementation of PTM. The reason is, some members are for the supervision of masks, business places and offices. Now it's even more supervising the school.
"I have ordered 15 Satpol PP in each sub-district to supervise PTM in schools, but they don't rotate on standby. Meanwhile, from the city level we have deployed 3 teams containing 25 personnel to oversee the progress of PTM," he said.
