Gulkarmat Officers Evacuate Wasps' Nests That Attacked PPSU Johar Baru Officers
JAKARTA - The wasps' nest that disturbed the residents was successfully evacuated by Central Jakarta Gulkarmat officers from the Pulo Gundul RPTRA, Tanah Tinggi Village, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.
According to Firdaus, Head of Platoon Gulkarmat Johar Baru, his party received a report from the RPTRA supervisor that there was a wasp nest in one of the trees. Then it was followed up by deploying a rescue team from the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.
"Thank God, for now, the vicious wasp, namely the Endas wasp or Vespa, has been evacuated. Thank God, the team immediately followed up," he told VOI reporters at the location, Wednesday, September 1.
In the evacuation process this time, Gulkarmat officers admitted that they did not experience any difficulties. Because, he continued, the height of the wasp's nest was about 2 meters and a diameter of 20 cm.
"Thank God, because this is far from settlements, the rescue team immediately evacuated at noon," he said.
According to information from the Tanah Tinggi sub-district, previously a PPSU officer was attacked by the dangerous wasp. As a result of the wasp attack, PPSU officers were immediately treated to the nearest health center.
Head of Head of Welfare of Tanah Tinggi Sub-district, Neni confirmed that a PPSU officer was attacked by wasps while working.
"Yesterday, PPSU was picking up garbage. At first, it was stung yesterday, it was feverish and I went to the puskesmas for treatment," he said.
After searching for the source, it turned out to be a wasp nest in the RPTRA. "We immediately contacted the firefighters to be evacuated so as not to endanger other residents," he said.
