Hellcrust Spreads Fellows For Balamaut
JAKARTA - Homeland metal troop Hellcrust finally released the album Sejawat which was recorded since 2018. A work that emphasizes appreciation for the dedication of all parties who have contributed to support the activities of Japs (vocals), Arslan Musyfia (bass), Nyoman Bije (guitar), Andyan Gorust (drums), and Dirk 'Derik' Marthin (guitar) in the realm of loud music.
The process of cultivating Sejawat started with several song parts that were recorded independently by Alan and Bije. However, the whole brainstorming has only started since they released the single Rimba Khalayak.
Like the previous album, Kalamaut, Hellcrust personnel were also free to make their own song charts in Sejawat. And when they enter the whole processing stage, they always involve the creativity and ideas of each personnel until they feel that the song material is worthy of being executed.
"In Sejawat, we try to cover things that we have not been able to apply in the previous album, namely exploration of games, sounds, lyrics and so on. In addition, Derik's entry to replace Baken (Nainggolan) is like adding a new color in arranging each part of the song into a single song, ”said the band in a written statement received by the editorial desk.
As a tribute to all those who helped in every process of ups and downs and shared the joys and sorrows with Hellcrust, a composition entitled Balamaut was introduced on this new album.
"We prioritize the song Balamaut, more to our dedication both to the music we live in until now, and as our dedication to the Balamaut audience (Hellcrust fans) who have indirectly become part of the Sejawat itself," the band emphasized.
Apart from Balamaut, the album Sejawat produced by Hellcrust in collaboration with Santo Gunawan from Armstretch Records and distributed via merchconsmerch.com, also spits out other brutal compositions, namely Parasites of the Skyline, Majority of Absolute, Feasibility Sanctuary, Symbiosis 69, Bacot Patriot of Compact Mouth , Salamaut, Transisi and the single that was launched earlier in early 2019, Rimba Khalayak.
But unfortunately, after working on Sejawat, Hellcrust was forced to part with Japs, who chose to focus on his career outside of music. Now for the stage performance, Hellcrust invites Septian 'Asep' Maulana as a replacement for Japs' job on the vocal line.
“Japs has a big role in Hellcrust in narrating a topic and spilling each verse into one lyrical unit. You could say this is the Japs' farewell album with Hellcrust. A decision that we must respect, "Hellcrust concluded.
After the release of Sejawat, the new line-up Hellcrust is now planning a tour as well as a showcase to promote the release of the new album. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are likely to focus on utilizing streaming media platforms to help promote the Sejawat album.
