Up And Down Number Of Areas Result Of Covid-19 Risk Zone Mapping
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Expert Team for the National Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, Wiku Adisasmito, said that there are 53 districts / cities with a high risk status for increased cases.
Furthermore, there are 177 districts / cities with moderate risk, 185 low risk districts / cities, and 99 districts / cities not affected. This data is a mapping of the risk zone for COVID-19 as of 28 June.
Wiku said that the zoning mapping kept changing over time. Every week, he said, many regencies / cities change their status, from low risk to moderate risk status, or vice versa. This change has occurred since May 2020.
"That in May 2020 and continuing to June 7, June 14, June 21, and June 28, 2020, there will be changes in the dynamics of the zoning map," said Wiku at Graha BNPB, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 1.
In May, it was recorded that 46.7 percent of districts / cities were in the low risk zone and were affected. However, a week later, on June 7, the persetasenya decreased to 44.36 percent.
In the second week, June 14, the percentage of the two zones improved by 56.3 percent. Then, it continues to increase to 58.37 percent in the third week. However, in the last week of June the decline occurred again so that it was at 55.44 percent.
"This indicates that the dynamics of change often occur from time to time. Therefore, the Regency / City government must ensure strict health protocols so that cases do not increase and decrease. So that nationally the changes are getting better," said Wiku.
Adding, an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist and Informatics Expert from the Expert Team for the COVID-19 Acceleration Task Force Dewi Nur Aisyah said, in the last two weeks of changes to the COVID-19 risk zone, there were 19 districts / cities from high risk to moderate risk. Then as many as 14 districts / cities from moderate risk to high risk.
"About 31 districts and cities from moderate risk have moved to low risk. There is one district or city from low risk to high risk," said Dewi.
Then, about 37 districts / cities from low risk to medium risk. Finally, there were 7 districts / cities from low risk to no new cases.
"This means that this includes areas where there have been no additional cases of COVID-19 in the last 4 weeks and the cure rate has reached 100 percent," said Dewi.
