Erick Thohir Is Proud Of Telkomsel To Appreciate The Presence Of The Virtual Godbless Concert On MAXstream
JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir said he was proud of Telkomsel for being able to provide digital services to support the creative industry in Indonesia.
"The Ministry of SOEs is very proud that Telkomsel can present its digital services to support the creative industry in Indonesia, in this case by presenting a virtual concert on the MAXstream platform," said Erick Thohir in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 1.
The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises hopes that with the support of digital technology, Indonesian music industry players have wider opportunities to continue working, especially during the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, by maximizing the use of the advantages of digital technology.
The Ministry of SOEs appreciates Telkomsel for the support given to the celebration of the existence of the Godbless band, which has worked for 48 years in the Indonesian music industry. The legendary band Godbless held a concert entitled "Godbless 48th Anniversary: Starting Today" on the evening of August 31, where Telkomsel took a role by presenting the virtual concert on the video streaming service MAXstream.
Erick Thohir said that the Ministry of SOEs also appreciated the legendary band Godbless for their contribution and consistency in advancing the Indonesian music industry for the past 48 years.
"The spirit that has been carried out by the Godbless band is expected not only to always inspire creative industry players in Indonesia to continue to produce quality works, but also all BUMN institutions in Indonesia to take a leading role in presenting superior services to encourage the nation's progress in all fields. " he said.
Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir wanted Telkom and Telkomsel to become aggregators of local content in the world of films, music, and others. According to Erick, this is one way to help build an ecosystem for the Indonesian film industry.
Another way is that the Ministry of BUMN plans to turn the State Film Production or PFN into a financing institution for Indonesian films. Erick does not want PFN as a state-owned company to become a competitor who makes films.
