Mayor Of Lhokseumawe Aceh Requires ASN Vaccination For COVID-19, If Refuses Will Be Sanctioned
BANDA ACEH - The Mayor of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Suaidi Yahya requires all employees, both state civil servants (ASN) and non-ASN, to follow the COVID-19 vaccination.
The Head of Public Relations of the City Government (Pemkot) Lhokseumawe Marzuki said the instructions were for preventing the transmission and spread of COVID-19.
"ASN in the Lhokseumawe Government who are not willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will be given sanctions. Meanwhile, non-ASN will be dismissed," Marzuki said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 31.
Marzuki said the instruction was a follow-up to Presidential Regulation Number 14 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 99 of 2020.
And Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 84 of 2020 regarding the procurement and implementation of vaccinations in the context of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, said Marzuki.
Based on the regulation, said Marzuki, the Mayor of Lhokseumawe instructed the head of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to order all ASN and not ASN to take vaccinations.
Unless, they do not meet the criteria for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Such as failing to pass the COVID-19 vaccine injection screening and other causes stated by medical personnel, said Marzuki.
"Sanctions for ASN who do not want to be vaccinated according to applicable regulations and all forms of administration will not be processed based on the Mayor's instructions," said Marzuki.
