JAKARTA - PT Indoritel Makmur Internasional Tbk (DNET) an investment company that focuses on the consumer and retail industry in Indonesia at the end of 2020 managed to record a net income of IDR 488.89 billion, growing 89.64 percent compared to the same period in 2019 of IDR 257.80 billion. .

The company's strategy in 2020 to focus on expanding its fiber optic infrastructure by preparing a capital expenditure of Rp600 billion has paid off. The benchmark of success can be seen from the range of services, an increase in the number of customers which in turn strengthens revenue.

"The company's consolidated net income continues to grow exponentially, in 2018 it was recorded to grow 130.25 percent compared to 2017 to Rp130 billion, then in 2019 it grew 98 percent to Rp258 billion and in 2020 it grew significantly again 90 percent to Rp489 billion. DNET is a holding company for associates PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret), PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI), PT Fastfood Indonesia Tbk (FAST) and the parent of a subsidiary, namely PT Mega Access Persada (MAP/FiberStar). So how do they perform?

PT Mega Access Persada (MAP)

PT Mega Access Persada is a subsidiary with direct and indirect share ownership of 98.09 percent. MAP is a fiber optic network provider company for both corporate and home customers.

Through the development of the FiberStar product brand, MAP builds a network based on Fiber to the x technology (home, building, node, cabinet and others) that is able to provide internet or data services with high speed, reliability and efficiency.

Throughout 2020 FiberStar managed to achieve customer connections (home passed) of 656,975 units, this achievement is equivalent to 104.28 percent of the predetermined target of 630,000 units. This figure grew 45.6 percent compared to the same period last year.

Currently, FiberStar is present in 17 provinces and 135 cities/regencies with a cable length of 28,714 km, an increase of 62.6 percent from 2019, including submarine cables that connect 13 cities/regencies on the islands of Sumatra and Java directly to Singapore.

Even in 2020, in order to promote faster growth, FiberStar has collaborated with TransVision to introduce TransVision Hi-Speed service, unlimited fiber internet connection at home.

FiberStar also innovates services that are supported by the latest technology, namely Managed Service SD-WAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network) which is intended for corporate customers.

PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret)

DNET as of December 2020 owns 40 percent of the shares of PT Indomarco Prismatama Indomaret (Indomaret) which is one of the largest minimarket operators in Indonesia. The first store was established in 1988 in Ancol, Jakarta under the name "Indomart", which focuses on providing daily needs.

In 1995, in accordance with the Government's campaign to encourage the use of the Indonesian language, the name and logo of "Indomart" was changed to its current name, "Indomaret". In 1997, Indomaret took a pioneering step in the franchise program in the minimarket sector by introducing a partnership system for store ownership with management under a franchise scheme.

By the end of 2020, Indomaret had operated 33 Distribution Centers (DC) and around 18,290 outlets and 4,744 franchised stores. The Company is also more active in developing its online store through the Klik Indomaret application which is equipped with a delivery service feature.

In addition, customers who want to order food can use the click-food feature. In fact, Indomaret at several outlets has developed a drive-thru concept so that customers can shop safely, quickly and comfortably.

Until the end of 2020, Indomaret managed to collect revenue of Rp. 86.12 trillion, with a net profit of Rp. 1.10 trillion and has total assets of Rp. 36.82 trillion.

PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (KFC)

DNET as of December 2020 owns 35.84 percent of the shares of PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST) which is the holder of the right to own and operate KFC franchised restaurants in Indonesia. As the only KFC franchise holder in Indonesia, FAST is the manager of the largest and most popular fast food restaurant chain in Indonesia.

As of December 2020, there were 743 KFC restaurants, spread across 34 provinces in Indonesia and in 170 cities and regencies throughout Indonesia. To improve performance during the Covid-19 pandemic, FAST seeks to innovate, including launching its first thematic outlet, KFC Naughty By Nature (NBN), this is a new concept to provide a more interesting experience for the whole family.

To answer the challenges of reducing visitor capacity, restricting visitors and closing outlets in malls during PSBB, KFC optimizes drive thru, home delivery and takeaway facilities. At the end of 2020 FAST managed to record revenue of Rp.4.84 trillion and has total assets of Rp.3.72 trillion.

PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (Sari Roti)

DNET as of December 31, 2020 owns 25.77 percent of PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI) shares, which is the first and largest bakery company in the mass production segment in Indonesia. ROTI was founded in 1995, and started its first operational activities at the Cikarang Block W factory located in the Jababeka Industrial Estate in 1996.

ROTI continues to expand its production facilities and geographic coverage. As of December 2020 ROTI has operated 13 factories spread across Indonesia. The current daily production capacity reaches 5 million breads per day and has a market share of 90 percent for the mass-produced bread segment.

ROTI has developed an extensive distribution and logistics network. Bakery products are distributed daily through more than 70,000 points of sale. At the end of 2020, ROTI posted revenue of Rp3.21 trillion, net profit of Rp215 billion and total assets of Rp4.45 trillion.
