Railink Airport Train Operates Again Starting Tomorrow At Soetta And Kualanamu

JAKARTA - PT Railink will re-operate KAI Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta and KAI Kualanamu Airport, Medan starting September 1.

The airport train previously stopped operating temporarily from July 21 – August 31, 2021 to support the government's efforts to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia.

"KAI Railink Airport has stopped operating for approximately 1.5 months, and starting September 1, 2021 tomorrow we are ready to operate again," said Acting President Director of PT Railink Anggoro Triwibowo as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 31.

Anggoro said the re-operation of the airport train would be accompanied by special promo rates for the anniversary of PT KAI and the anniversary of PT Railink with a 76 percent discount.

For the route from Manggarai Station - Duri Station; Manggarai Station - BNI City Station and BNI City Station - Duri Station, the fare is IDR 5,000 per passenger.

Batu Ceper Station - Manggarai Station; Batu Ceper Station - BNI City Station; Batu Ceper Station - Duri Station, charged at IDR 10,000 per passenger.

Then the tariff is Rp. 25,000 for the route from Batu Ceper Station - Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station. And Rp. 35,000, for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station - Manggarai Station route; Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station - BNI City Station and Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station - Duri Station.

The airport train will operate as many as 20 trips in 1 day, starting at 05.37 WIB to 18.49 WIB for KAI Soekarno-Hatta Airport and from 05.00 WIB to 19.15 WIB for KAI Kualanamu Airport, Medan.

"We hope that the re-operation of the PT Railink Airport KAI with this promo rate can increase public enthusiasm for public transportation as a support for carrying out daily mobility while still implementing health protocols," concluded Anggoro.

KAI Airport tickets can be purchased through all ticket purchase channels both online and offline, namely through the Airport Train application, Railink website, KAI Access, Traveloka and tiket.com. Offline purchases through vending machines, station information desks, terminal booths at Soekarno-Hatta and Kualanamu Airports.
