Involved In Adultery, Drugs To Desertion, 13 Members Of The Maluku Regional Police Dismissed Disrespect
MALUKU - The Maluku Regional Police carried out the dishonorable discharge (PTDH) of 13 members who were in trouble due to being dragged into criminal cases and desertion or running away from duty.
"This number is calculated from February to July or Semester I 2021," said Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police Kombes Roem Ohoirat in Ambon, Antara, Tuesday, August 31.
Some of the criminal cases that are sticking out include drugs, immorality, adultery, and desertion.
PTDH's decision against them went through legal procedures. Especially those related to general crimes, such as drugs, immorality, and adultery, through the judicial process until the legal decision is declared inkrah or has permanent legal force.
"The decision to dismiss must go through a long legal procedure, and must also go through a hearing on the Police's code of ethics until the PTDH decision is issued," he said.
He regretted the disciplinary actions of a dozen members of the Maluku Regional Police because the violations they had committed had been frequently warned by the leadership.
Strict action given to those who are proven to have violated the code of ethics, he said, was carried out as a form of appreciation to members who had served well so far.
As of Monday, four members of the Maluku Regional Police were fired for being involved in drug cases and sentenced to more than 1 year in prison, namely, Bripka Ilham Lembang, Brig.
Roem Ohoirat emphasized that PTDH also served them as a lesson to all members of the National Police.
"Those who serve the community well will receive an award, while those who violate the code of ethics will be punished," he said.
