JAKARTA - Startup company PT Pahami Cipta Edukasi (Pahamify) is collaborating with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) in providing training for teachers to develop digital learning content.

Pahamify's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Moh. Ikhsan said the implementation of inspiring teacher training with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics could directly add value to education in Indonesia.

"As a digital company that is concerned with education in the country, we have an interest in improving the competence of teachers in Indonesia," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, August 31.

According to Ikhsan, he hopes that this series of activities can broaden the insight and experience of teachers so that they are more qualified in teaching effectively and efficiently in the midst of a pandemic, especially through the use of digital media.

“The implementation of distance learning (PJJ) requires teachers to be able to present educational content that is informative, educative and able to arouse students' interest in learning. For this reason, this training is expected to open up insights for teaching staff to be able to use digital channels effectively," he said.

On the same occasion, Plt. Director of the Digital Economy of the Ministry of Communication and Information, I Nyoman Adhiarna, said that education development cannot rely on only one element, namely schools and the government. Therefore, he welcomes the initiatives taken by the private sector in supporting the development of national education.

“All stakeholders must be able to work together in building quality education in this country. Moreover, digital transformation in the education and health sectors is the key to the growth of economic activity in the future," he said.

Furthermore, the bureaucrat revealed that the education sector is one of the easiest to digitize.

“The challenge we face today is how to push digitalization evenly across the region. Through teacher training, this is one of our efforts to make this happen,” he said.
