Compliments Solskjaer For 'The Special Boy' Mason Greenwood

JAKARTA - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer described Mason Greenwood as a "special child". This was said by the manager after Greenwood's outstanding performance in Manchester United's 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday 30 June evening.

United put great pressure on the number four standings, Chelsea with an easy win at the Amex Stadium. Greenwood kept United on track with an opener in the 16th minute.

The goal was followed by Bruno Fernandes' brace. The Portuguese player's second goal even started Greenwood's extraordinary move through a counter-attacking scheme.

Solskjaer paid tribute to the 18-year-old and said he was destined for a bright future.

"Mason (Greenwood) 's first goal was brilliant and he played fantastically," he told Sky Sports after the match.

"He's a special kid, we know when he has a chance he looks dangerous.

"He's got talent. He can play stabbing in or wide and he's developed into a good player."

Solskjaer also praised the praise of Fernandes, who scored his fifth goal of the season in eight Premier League games. Fernandes arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting CP in January.

The 25-year-old has quickly become an instrumental figure for the Red Devils and his boss is delighted by his "winning mentality".

"We had some top players and Bruno arrived and (played) fantastic," he told BBC Sport. "He has brought a winning mentality with him; 99 percent is not good enough - the winning mentality has to be 100 percent."
