Semarang-Solo Level Down, Ganjar: Tourism Please Trial To Open

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the decline in PPKM levels in several districts/cities including agglomeration areas, namely Semarang Raya and Solo Raya, would foster optimism for other regions.

"We are happy because some levels have decreased in several districts/cities, this will foster optimism in others," he said in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, August 31.

Nevertheless, Ganjar reminded the public to continue to apply strict health protocols.

According to him, the reduction in the PPKM level should not make the community complacent and monitoring must continue, not only from the government, but also from all elements of society.

"Don't let there be disturbances because of our indiscipline. This is what we must prepare, so we are monitoring this today, for example, how the PTM is implemented in schools, that's good," he said.

Ganjar also invites the manager of the tourist attraction to conduct a trial first before opening it to the public with strict health protocols.

"Earlier, many people have asked if the status has dropped, is it okay for tourism? Please try it out first to open it, we tend to be more prepared so that the adaptation of new habits can work later," he said. Mall opening which was extended until 21.00 WIB, and about the capacity to eat at the place was increased to 50 percent.

"It's okay, now it's okay to add a little more in my opinion. The most important thing is the control, the control is from the manager, the community, and the government," said Ganjar.

In order to facilitate the control, he continued, it would be better if there were lots of inspections or installation of surveillance cameras in crowded places.
