Sindir Anies Baswedan And 7 Factions Of The DKI DPRD Reject The Interpellation Of Formula E, Denny: This Is A Message To The People, You Just Shut Up!

JAKARTA - Social media activist Denny Siregar criticized Anies Baswedan and seven factions in the DKI DPRD that formed the block rejecting the right of interpellation proposed by the PSI and PDI-P factions.

According to Denny, the steps of Anies and seven factions consisting of Gerindra, PKS, Golkar, NasDem, PAN, PKB and PPP seemed to send a message to the Jakarta public that they were the real rulers. People are only needed during general elections.

"How can they show off everywhere as if to show strength to the people. What do your people want? We are the ones in power, you stay silent! the truth is your master so that we can continue to rule," Denny quipped through the CokroTV Youtube channel, quoted by VOI, Monday, August 29 night.

It is ironic that interpellation which is the right to ask questions is positioned as the right to judge. If the Formula E agenda has no flaws in its implementation, then why did Anies Baswedan have to gather the top factions in the DKI DPRD?

Moreover, continued Denny, as the legislature of the DKI DPRD, it has a supervisory function over the executive, in this case the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

"If the supervisor is the one who should be supervised, isn't this all a big mistake in carrying out the supervisory function? Sorry, yes, this is like a thief working with a security guard to commit a big crime, no one is watching, all agree with one goal," explained Denny .

Denny believes that Anies will not be able to answer a series of questions asked by the PSI and PDIP factions if the interpellation takes place. For example, the certainty of where the electric car racing circuit will be determined. If the National Monument (Monas) is canceled as a racing location, then where is the new location?

"What about the feasibility study? Yesterday, around IDR 1 trillion was spent, now we have to spend another hundred billion to build a new circuit, how to control it. If using sponsors, which sponsor? Has anyone made a commitment if they want to participate in Formula E costs? ," said Denny.

The most important thing is the return of the rupiah that was siphoned from the DKI APBD pocket for the down payment (DP) for the Formula E event.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Mohamad Taufik, admitted that seven factions of the DKI DPRD refused to submit an interview to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan regarding Formula E.

Taufik said this decision was agreed after seven factions other than PDIP and PSI were invited to a meeting at Anies' official residence last night.

"The agreement of 7 factions, namely Gerindra, PKS, Democrat, PAN, NasDem, PKB-PPP with 73 members does not participate in the interview," said Taufik when contacted.
