Remaining 'eternal', Wiranto Is Ready To Be Appointed As Presidential Advisory Board

JAKARTA - Former Menkopolhukam Wiranto admitted that he is ready to be sworn in as one of President Joko Widodo's Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres). This was conveyed by him during a visit to the Kemenkopolhukam Office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta before he left for the Presidential Palace.

"Thanks to your blessings, I am healthy again, recovered. Ready to work, ready to work," said Wiranto to reporters, Friday, December 13, smiling and not answering his conveyed intentions for work ready.

It was not heard that in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Wiranto later became the Presidential Advisory Board in the first term of the Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla administration.

He then replaced Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to become the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) in the Working Cabinet of the era of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla.

It is known, the inauguration of the Wantimpres will be held on Friday, December 13 at the Presidential Palace. This has been confirmed by Presidential Spokesman Fadjroel Rachman.

"Tomorrow afternoon (Friday), the plan is to inaugurate the Presidential Advisory Board," he told reporters, Thursday, December 12.

Apart from Wiranto, a number of names who will be sworn in to give consideration to President Jokowi are senior PDI-P politician Sidharto Danusubroto, senior Golkar Party politician Agung Laksono, owner of the Mayapada Group Dato Sri Tahir, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figure Maulana Al-Habib Muhammad Luthfi bin Ali bin Yahya alias Habib Luthfi, and President Commissioner of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani.

In addition, there are also names of senior PPP politician Mardiono Bakar, businessman Arifin Panigoro, and senior NasDem politician Siswono Yudohusodo who replaced the Chairman of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang.
