Resign From Hotel Manager, This Man Changed His Profession Selling Cannabis To Caucasians In Lombok
NTB - The Drug Investigation Unit of the Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara, NTB), arrested a former hotel manager with the initials IL (41) for allegedly distributing marijuana.
IL was arrested by officers on Saturday, August 28 at his residence, BTN Griya Praja Asti area, West Lombok Regency.
"The suspected dealer we arrested is one of the hotel managers in the Senggigi area who has resigned. When he stopped, he later admitted that he was selling marijuana," said Head of Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Mataram Police AKP I Made Yogi Purusa Utama in Mataram, Antara, Monday, August 30.
The arrest of the perpetrator started from information that in Jatiaela Village there was a circulation of narcotics class one type of marijuana. The team, according to Made, followed up on the information by conducting a series of investigations.
"So from the suspect's hands we got evidence of marijuana with a gross weight of up to 100 grams," he said.
The evidence of marijuana that was confiscated by the police from the results of a search at his home, is already in packaging ready for distribution.
"There are big, medium, and small pockets," he said.
In addition to marijuana, the police also confiscated IL's cell phone, cash which was allegedly the result of a marijuana sale transaction worth Rp. 402,000, and his four-wheeled vehicle.
"We also secured the car because we found a pocket of marijuana in it," he said.
From the examination, IL admitted that the dried marijuana was obtained from Manado. In one delivery, said Yogi, IL usually orders kilos of marijuana.
"So a temporary assumption, this IL has an inter-island, inter-provincial network. He admits that he usually buys kilos and sells poketan," said Yogi.
The sales market, he said, were Caucasians whom he knew and had lived on the island of Lombok for a long time.
As a result of his actions, IL has now been named a suspect under Article 111 Paragraph 1 and/or Article 114 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 35/2009 concerning Narcotics.
"Because the weight of the evidence is still gross, that's why we apply paragraph 1. But later if the net is above 5 grams, we will automatically apply paragraph 2 which carries a sentence of 20 years in prison or life or the death penalty," said Yogi.
Furthermore, regarding the origin of the marijuana evidence called IL from Manado, Yogi emphasized that this is now in the process of developing a case.
"So, the new perpetrators only mention the name of the origin of the evidence, from Manado, regarding who and where the distribution network is, it is now included in our development process," he said.
