Is There A Relaxation Of Activities In The Extension Of The Java-Bali PPKM? This Is What The Task Force Said
JAKARTA - The implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali will end today, Monday, August 30. The government will announce the extension of the PPKM tonight.
Last week, the announcement of the PPKM extension in Java-Bali was carried out by lowering the PPKM assessment level in a number of districts/cities, relaxing activity sectors such as opening malls to places of worship.
Then, in the extension of the Java-Bali PPKM today, will there be any sector activities that will be relaxed again? Spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, said that easing could be carried out depending on the conditions of each region.
"The determination of the easing-tightening at each regional level depends on the condition of the case later, if it improves, easing will be carried out but still with the precautionary principle," Wiku told VOI, Monday, August 30.
Therefore, Wiku hopes that the community and their respective regional governments can work together to improve the conditions for handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
These improvements include a decrease in active COVID-19 cases, a decrease in the positivity rate, a decrease in the occupancy of COVID-19 treatment beds, to reduce the death rate.
"I would like to say again that PPKM is currently a control instrument so it will be used in the long term," said Wiku.
"Therefore, it is hoped that the spirit to carry out COVID-19 control to the maximum can produce results for us gradually being able to return to productive activities," he continued. from level 4 to level 3.
PPKM in the Jabodetabek, Greater Bandung, Semarang Raya and Greater Surabaya Agglomeration Areas fell to level 3, so that districts/cities entering level 3 increased to 67 districts/cities and for level 2 the number increased to 10 districts/cities. Meanwhile, PPKM in the agglomeration areas of Bali, Malang Raya Solo Raya and DIY are currently still at level 4.
