36 Players Called TC U-20 World Cup National Team, These Are Their Names

JAKARTA - PSSI started the training camp (TC) for the U-18 national team which was prepared for the U-20 World Cup in 2023, Monday, at the Bung Karno Madya Stadium, Jakarta.

Quoted from the PSSI website in Jakarta, Monday, PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan said that there were a total of 72 players who were called up for the TC which lasted until September 11, 2021.

"These players are the choice of coach Shin Tae-yong and the coaching staff. This week, 36 players first joined the TC. A total of 36 other players will train next week," said Iriawan.

The man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule also asked all the players to show their maximum ability when completing various training menus.

PSSI, he continued, wants to find the best footballers in order to achieve maximum results at the 2023 U-20 World Cup which will take place in Indonesia. PSSI and the Indonesian government are targeting the young Garuda squad to be able to qualify from the group stage.

"We will host the FIFA grand tournament, the second largest after the senior World Cup. We hope that, with good preparation, the Indonesian national team can achieve maximum results," said Iriawan.

This time TC was followed by figures who had defended the Indonesian U-16 national team such as Ahmad Rusadi, Alexandro Kamuru, Kadek Arel, Aditya Daffa, Ronaldo Joybera, Dimas Juliano, Ahmad Athalah, Raka Cahyana and Mikael Alfredo Tata.

One of the players, Alexandro Kamuru, said he was happy with his call to the U-18 national team TC.

The left-back who was born in Sorong, Papua, promised not to waste the opportunity.

"This TC will be tight because I believe all players have the same desire, namely to play in the World Cup and defend Indonesia. I will try my best and can't wait to join this training camp," said Alexandro.
