Regarding OTT In Probolinggo, KPK Chair: Give Us Time To Work

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri asked the public to give time to complete their work. This was conveyed after the KPK was reported to have arrested a number of people in the Hand Catch Operation (OTT) in Probolinggo Regency, East Java.

Based on information circulating, the anti-corruption commission arrested the Regent of Probolinggo Puput Tantriana Sari and her husband who is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Hasan Aminuddin, in the silent operation.

"Please give us time to work. In due course, the KPK will provide a complete explanation after the collection of information and evidence has been completed," Firli told reporters, Monday, August 30.

According to him, currently the Director of Investigation of the KPK and the task force team are still working to investigate the alleged riot. Firli emphasized that his subordinates worked based on the adequacy of evidence.

"We work based on evidence. And it is with this evidence that we can explain a criminal incident and find a suspect," he said.

Complementing Firli, Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, stated that his party had time to announce the suspects and the crimes they committed.

"KPK has 1x24 hours to determine its attitude towards the results of this arrest," said Ali.

"The team is still working and will immediately ask for information about the parties who were detained," he said.
