Denpasar Ready To Implement Face-to-Face Schools

JAKARTA - Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara said that the Denpasar City Government, Bali is ready to carry out face-to-face schooling after further directives from the central government. The second is around 96 percent and this will be pursued. Simulations and school readiness have been completed, so we are ready to carry out face-to-face education," said Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara when met at an isoter site review activity in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali, as reported by Antara, Sunday, August 29.

He said the readiness of this face-to-face school started from the vaccination side of teenagers aged 12 to 17 years. Apart from students, educators and staff at other schools, it can be ascertained that all have been vaccinated.

He said, of the 67,000 targeted students, 70,000 of the first vaccine had been achieved, or about 104 percent. While the second vaccine amounted to 63 thousand or about 96 percent. Furthermore, the remaining 4 percent will be pursued in order to be able to reach 100 percent. "We have also often simulated to school, and school readiness is ready. So we in Denpasar are ready to carry out face-to-face education," he said. Further advances from the Central Government will be tried by 50 percent of the number of students in each school. The Mayor of Denpasar hopes that face-to-face schools can be opened from the junior high school level, with ages 12 and over.

"Our hope is that the junior high school level is 12 years old and above. Elementary school has not yet been vaccinated, so 12 years and over and junior high school is a priority," he said. Previously, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) stated that the implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM) is limited in the area where the restrictions on community activities (PPKM) are applied for areas at Levels 1 to 3. Provided that educators have passed two vaccinations and schools have met the preparation of sanitation and hygiene facilities, health equipment in the form of measuring body temperature, the use of masks and the requirements of health protocols must be met.
