Waiting For Dovizioso To Recover Before MotoGP Starts Again
JAKARTA - After successfully undergoing surgery on the left collarbone on Monday, Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso is working hard to recover and be fit before the return of the 2020 MotoGP season on July 19 and 26.
He admits that he doesn't feel too sick anymore and that makes him optimistic. After returning from the hospital in the morning, Dovi underwent therapy in the afternoon.
"The operation went well and I want to thank all the medical teams who completed this operation quickly," Dovizioso said as quoted from the MotoGP website.
"I am sure that these weeks I can recover and return to full form for the first time in MotoGP 2020 at Jerez," continued the racer who in the last three seasons has always finished runner-up in the standings after Marc Marquez.
Dovi fell during a motocross race at Feanza, in northern Italy, on Sunday. Ducati Corse sports director Paolo Ciabatti is aware of the risks the Italian racer faces when participating in motocross competitions.
"In the end, we must be relieved if the injury does not have serious consequences," said Ciabatti.
