The Fate Of The Former World Player Of The Year Madrid Who Will Be Exchanged For A Roll
JAKARTA - Real Madrid will exchange players. This time involving former world best player Luka Modric with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. 'Los Blancos' will offer Napoli 50 million euros plus the Croatian midfielder.
El Desmarque reports that the Italian club has sold Koulibaly for 120 million euros, but is open to negotiations if Modric is included in the deal.
Koulibaly has been on the list of players most coveted by Madrid and Barcelona in recent times as he has consistently performed well both at Napoli and for his national team Senegal.
The 28-year-old is currently touted as one of the best defenders in the world, even widely declared as one of the best at the top level of Europe.
"I love Koulibaly, so I refused 105 million euros, but there will come a time when I will have to sell him," Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently told Sky Italia.
"Whoever says we are not strong in our defense is wrong," continued the boss, referring to Koulibaly's qualities.
In a recent report by Diario AS, it was said that the defender was Barcelona's main target when they failed to sign Matthijs de Ligt, who joined Juventus from Ajax this summer.
However, reports say the Italian club was only willing to let Koulibaly go for more than 100 million euros, which ultimately broke any steps in the previous transfer window.
However, with Modric's inclusion in the deal Madrid will present to Napoli, the heart of the Naples club may well be shattered in the upcoming market.
