JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno believes that the revitalization of Lake Maninjau in West Sumatra can restore the community's economy by creating business opportunities and employment opportunities.
"So that the pandemic ends with the revitalization of Lake Maninjau, it is hoped that it will be useful for higher quality tourism in the future," said Sandiaga when reviewing the revitalization of Lake Maninjau in Agam Regency, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 27.
He hopes that the turnover obtained by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Maninjau Lake area can increase again.
"Increasing turnover, so it's not going back to IDR 300,000 but hopefully IDR 1 million a day. And the hope was that because the children had finished school, this result could increase business results or help school children," said Sandiaga Uno.
On this occasion, Sandiaga explained the role of technology in opening up business opportunities by developing online selling and creating creative content
"If in the past someone in doing good had to go around the surrounding environment, then thanks to technological advances today anyone can help each other," he said.
With the Kitabisa.com platform, it is said that the opportunity to donate can be used to help each other between communities. Menparekaf said that more than Rp. 1 trillion had been achieved from the donation.
