Doctors In Medan Who Use Fake Russian Consulate Plates Will Be Fined, Their Car Is Still In Police Custody

MEDAN - Police have examined a doctor in Medan with the initials FN for using a fake Russian consulate plate. Doctor FN will be ticketed.

"The reason for not detaining FN is because he is cooperative and he has undergone an examination," said the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, Friday, August 27.

Four units of cars that use fake Russian consulate plates are currently still at the Medan Polrestabes.

"There is a status that was delegated to the Medan Polrestabes Satlantas due to the process of getting a ticket and being detained by the Medan Polrestabes Satreskrim to investigate the crime," he explained.

If the investigator finds a suspected criminal act, then the legal process will continue in addition to fines.

"So far, the data we have received is that the person concerned (FN) is not a representative of the Russian consulate in Medan City and works as a doctor," he said.

The revelation of the fake license plate case of the Russian consulate began with a viral video on social media.

"Based on this information, last Tuesday (24/8), the Medan Police Sat Resmob Unit Team managed to secure 1 Hyundai unit with a CC 37 02 plate which was parked in the parking lot at one of the hospitals on Jalan Listrik and the driver with the initials AT explained that 3 cars others with CC plates are at the house of Jalan Prof. HM Yamin," said Acting Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Police, Kompol Rafles Marpaung.

"One of the cars, namely the Pajero sport with a CC 37 07 plate, is not equipped with official documents and only has a travel document," he concluded.
