Health Declines, Ustaz Yahya Waloni Taken To Police Hospital

JAKARTA - The suspect in the alleged blasphemy case, Ustadz Yahya Waloni, was rushed to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. This was after his health condition declined after being arrested.

"That's right (Yahya Waloni was taken to the Police Hospital)," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan to VOI, Friday, August 27.

However, Ramadhan did not specify Yahya's illness or condition until it was decided he had to be taken to the hospital. It's just that, he said, Yahya is currently still under the supervision of investigators

"The term in question is dibantarkan," short Ramadhan. Previously, Ustaz Yahya Waloni was arrested at his residence in Permata Housing, Cluster Dragon, Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday, August 26.

The arrest of Yahya was based on the police report (LP) number LP/B/0287/IV/2021/BARESKRIM dated 27 April 2021. In the report, Yahya was considered to have insulted the Bible in his lecture.

Currently, Yahya has also been named a suspect in the alleged blasphemy or blasphemy case.
