Teaser Mood Sampler Untuk Sub Unit Red Velvet, Irene Dan Seulgi

JAKARTA - The first sub unit of the Red Velvet group will arrive soon. Filled by Seulgi and Irene, these two members will become a new group with the Red Velvet project IRENE & SEULGI. Ahead of her debut, SM Entertainment released a mood sampler teaser video and photos of Irene on Sunday, June 28.

In this 23-second video, Irene and Seulgi appear different from what they usually do for Red Velvet. If in the group Red Velvet, they appear eccentric and colorful, this time Irene and Seulgi bring a more mature concept in the video.

Both of them were wearing black dresses with black hair. The dark color worn is inversely proportional to the video background which is dominated by light colors. Both Irene and Seulgi also look flat and cool accompanied by the R&B music that scrolls throughout the video.

Not only that, SM Entertainment also released several teaser photos for Irene on Red Velvet's social media. In an instant, Irene's name immediately occupied the trending topic.

Previously, the agency announced the first sub unit for Red Velvet. This is something that SM often does for its groups like Super Junior KRY, Girls Generation Oh! GG, EXO-CBX, and most recently, Red Velvet IRENE & SEULGI.

The two often appear together on several occasions. Before debuting as Red Velvet, Irene and Seulgi were paired in the song Be Natural as part of SM Rookies.

Then, they performed in a joint concert by SM Entertainment by singing the song Greedy from Ariana Grande.

This sub-unit project is what Reveluv (as Red Velvet's fans are called) has been waiting for after Red Velvet completed promotions for The ReVe Festival's comeback from 2019 to the beginning of this year.

Red Velvet's Irene & Seulgi's first mini album titled MONSTER will be released on July 7. Containing five tracks, this album will showcase Irene and Seulgi's much greater capabilities. The album can be ordered physically and digitally.
