Twitter Now Opens Cuan Farm For Spaces Creators
JAKARTA - Loyal users of Twitter Space's live audio feature can now sell their event tickets to anyone. Dubbed Ticketed Spaces, it first opened in June to users over the age of 18.
Users who meet these age requirements can host three events on Spaces in the last 30 days, and have at least 1,000 followers.
From the official Twitter blog, Friday, August 27, Ticketed Spaces helps content creators generate revenue from the Spaces they host, while allowing viewers to show their support by purchasing tickets for the experiences and conversations creator content provides on Twitter Spaces.
Creators can use Ticketed Spaces to host workshops, conversations, or meet-and-greets with their most loyal fans. That way, now content creators can earn money for hosting their Spaces.
Citing Techcrunch, Twitter declined to say how many people have gained this ability, or when all users will be able to enjoy it.
However, according to reports, users on iOS can now buy content tickets for their favorite creators in Spaces or people who already have access to the feature.
Previously, Twitter stated that it would take three percent of the revenue of content creators who sold their tickets. But since the feature is currently only available on iOS, it means Twitter will be charged a 30 percent in-app purchase fee from Apple, so content creators will only see 67 percent of each ticket sale.
If a content creator's total lifetime earnings on Twitter, including using Ticketed Spaces and Super Follows, exceeds $50,000, Twitter will increase the commission from three percent to 20 percent.
How to use Ticketed Spaces is quite easy, you just need to open the Monetization column and select Ticketed Spaces. Then, you must first check whether you meet the criteria.
Ticketed Spaces will set Twitter apart from other audio competitors. For example, Clubhouse and Instagram, which allow listeners to tip creator content or award badges in the live audio room, but both don't have ticket sales enabled like social media with the blue bird logo.
