Google Presents Smart Reply Feature In Google Docs, How To Quickly Reply Messages

JAKARTA - Remember Google's Smart Reply feature? Yes, this feature is now present in Google Docs or commonly known as Docs. After previously Google pinned the feature first in Gmail.

Quoting Digital Trends, Thursday, August 26, this feature can save users time when replying to comments. Scheduled for release in September, this feature will reach all Workspace users, as well as G Suite customers, both business and regular accounts.

The Smart Reply feature in Google Docs is an earlier feature in Gmail, the same as Smart Compose and spelling autocorrect. That means, Smart Reply in Google Docs will work the same as in Gmail. The user will be presented with some automated text suggestions to reply to comments on it.

For example, when a coworker responds to a revision, the user can choose a Perfect response or Thank you, as the options provided by Smart Reply. Currently, the Smart Reply feature can only provide suggestions for English comments.

Google says the feature is powered by machine learning, which can analyze things a human might type. The company will commit to actively research potential cognitive biases and unintended mitigation strategies.

For your information, the Smart Reply feature will be available to all Google Workspace users and G Suite customers. This feature will be launched automatically and enabled by default. To find out if this feature already exists in your Google service, try going to the Tools section, selecting Preferences, then clicking Show Smart Reply suggestions.

Although it looks sophisticated, it turns out that Google is not the only company that has a feature like this. Microsoft Outlook and Outlook.com services have intelligence technology that can add unique animations to emails, display quick suggestions for flights and restaurants, predict text, and even suggest replies in emails. This is becoming more common in a world where we are always in cyberspace.
