There Are Still Many Violators On The First Day Of The Odd-even Period Of PPKM Level 3
JAKARTA - The police said that there were still many drivers who were asked to turn back on the first day of implementing the odd-even scheme during the PPKM level 3. They were still trying to pass, even though the police number (nopol) of their vehicle did not match the allowed day.
"We still have quite a lot of vehicles turning back," said Traffic Director of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Thursday, August 26.
From existing reports, there are still many motorists with odd numbered numbers trying to pass in odd-even areas. In fact, for today only vehicles with even number numbers are allowed to pass.
"If we look at it, there are still many vehicles with odd license plates trying to pass. Even though today the 26th is even," said Sambodo.
Supervision Involve BrimobOn the other hand, Sambodo also said that his party involved joint personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya in their supervision. One of them is the Mobile Brigade unit.
"For odd-even surveillance, there are approximately 300 joint personnel between the Polda Metro Jaya consisting of Ditlantas, Sabhara, Brimob," he said.
In fact, there are also other personnel who help with odd-even surveillance. They are members of the Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the TNI.
"Assisted by the TNI, assisted by the Transportation Agency and DKI Satpol PP," said Sambodo.
Previously, the odd-even scheme during the PPKM level 3 was still in effect. However, the scheme only applies to 3 roads.
"From August 26 to August 30, we will apply (odd-even) to 3 regions," said Sambodo.
The three roads include Sudirman Street, Thamrin Street, and Rasuna Said Street. The scheme is still in effect from 06.00 to 20.00 WIB.
"(Odd-even) Starting from the Mampang Gatot Subroto intersection to the Imam Bonjol intersection," said Sambodo.
