Despite winning 12-0, the score was not included in the top 10 most-scoring DFB Pokal matches of all time. The record for the biggest victory is still held by Bayern when crushing DJK Waldberg 16-1 in the first round of the 1997/98 season.
The match went limp as expected. However, the home players had time to show persistent action when Nobile made a clear sweep on the goal line over Musiala's strike which had outwitted goalkeeper Malte Seemann.
But not long after, the ball which was won by Bayern again ended in Choupo-Moting's goal into the home net in the eighth minute, starting a party of goals for Julian Nagelsmann's team.
Musiala doubled Bayern's lead in the 16th minute, which was followed by Warm's own goal as he tried to clear a Choupo-Moting shot in the 27th.
Choupo-Moting scored two more goals before half-time to confirm Bayern's 5-0 lead as both teams rested into the dressing room.
The second half began with two quick goals from Malik Tillman and Musiala to widen Bayern's lead, before Leroy Sane, who had been the target of boos by Bayern fans in their first home game of the season, scored the visitors' eighth goal in the 65th minute.
Bayern were made easier when Nobile brought down Tillman on the counter-attack, so referee Nicolas Winter immediately gave the Bremer defender a red card.
The 11 against 10 situation made Bayern more free to increase their advantage through goals from Mickael Cuisance, Bona Sarr and Corentin Tolisso and Choupo-Moting which completed the chess achievement.
The draw for the second round of the DFB Pokal will take place on Sunday, 29 August and the matches are scheduled to take place at the end of October.
