South Sulawesi Police Reveals Cases Of Tens Of Kilograms Of Shabu, 2 People Arrested
MAKASSAR - The South Sulawesi Police Directorate of Narcotics Team arrested two suspected drug dealers with evidence of tens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, along with thousands of ecstasy pills in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
"Yes, that's right, there is a big disclosure (of drugs). Tomorrow it will be released at the Regional Police," said Director of Drug Investigation at the South Sulawesi Police, Kombes La Ode Aries Elfatar, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 25.
But Kombes Aries has not detailed each of the drugs that were secured. Tomorrow, the South Sulawesi Police Chief will hold a press conference.
"Yes, there are tens of kilograms, later the Kapolda and the suspect will release it," said Aries.
From the information gathered, the two perpetrators were arrested by the Drugs Ditres team at a hotel on Jalan Veteran after receiving a drug transaction report.
The arrests found methamphetamine, estimated to weigh 40 kilograms and thousands of ecstasy pills ready to be distributed. As three suitcases and one backpack, it was suspected that they contained the illicit goods.
Temporary suspicion, the two perpetrators who were arrested are international networks that supply the illicit goods to Indonesia. Currently, the team is still developing the investigation.
