Kasatgas Nemangkawi: Three KKB Groups Spread Terror In Yahukimo Papua
JAYAPURA - Three armed criminal groups (KKB) are suspected to have joined forces and carried out a number of acts of violence against civilians in Yahukimo, Papua.
"It is true that the investigations conducted revealed a group that spread terror by killing civilians and members of the TNI-AD," said Head of the Nemangkawi Law Enforcement Task Force (Gakum), Kombes Faisal Ramadhani, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 25.
He said the three groups were Tenius Gwijangge, Temianus Magayang and the Soll Senate. Kombes Faisal, who admitted that he was still in Dekai, the capital of Yahukimo Regency, said that during August the KKB had killed three civilians and carried out a number of arson actions.
The KKB in Yahukimo has mixed with the local community as well as those who came from Nduga Regency.
Their group (KKB) is about 30 people and some of them are trained shooters and currently have six firearms, two of which are SS2 which were confiscated from TNI members in Dekai, last May.
"Members of the Nemangkawi Task Force when evacuating employees were fired upon by the KKB and the shots were directed, but because we were wearing armored cars, it didn't penetrate," said Faisal.
"But the KKB in Yahukimo does not have a leader and there are only figures," continued Kombes Faisal.
Senate Soll, a former TNI member who was fired for dissent was involved in the murder case responsible for the murder in Dekai that occurred on 11, 20, and 26 August 2020, one of the victims was, Hendry Jovinski who is a staff of the Yahukimo KPUD.
Temianus Magayang was involved in the killing of two members of the Airborne Infantry Battalion 432 Kostrad and confiscated the 5.56 caliber SS2 V1 rifle that the victim brought on 18 May.
Tenius Gwijangge is suspected of being involved in the murder of four construction workers in Bingki Village, Seradala District on June 25 and is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of two bridge workers at the Barza River.
