The State Budget Is Short Of IDR 336.9 Trillion At The End Of July, What Does Sri Mulyani Say?
JAKARTA - In a presentation on the realization of the 2021 State Budget (APBN) it was revealed that the budget deficit had touched the amount of IDR 336.9 trillion at the end of July this year.
This amount is a reflection of higher state spending with Rp1,368.4 trillion compared to the stated revenue side of Rp1,031.5 trillion.
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that the State Budget reflects the overall and real economic conditions. In terms of state revenue, the term up to July grew 11.8 percent compared to the same period in 2020 (year-on-year/yoy).
Meanwhile, the details are tax revenue grew 7.6 percent, customs and excise grew 29.5 percent, and PNBP (Non-Tax State Revenue) 15.8 percent.
“Everything describes a green signal. If we look at last year's state revenue contracted 12.3 percent, but now it has increased with a growth of 11.8 percent," he said through a virtual channel, Wednesday, August 25.
Meanwhile, state expenditures amounted to Rp1,368.4 trillion, consisting of central government expenditures (BPP) of Rp952.8 trillion, equivalent to transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD) of Rp415.5 trillion.
"State spending as a countercyclical is also doing its hard work, which can be seen from the growth of 9.3 percent, where last year in July we were still struggling to use the state budget because in the past there was still a fundamental change from work from office to work from home," he said.
To note, in the 2021 State Budget Law, it is stated that state revenues are targeted to reach Rp. 1,743.6 trillion.
Then for spending is believed to reach Rp2,750 trillion. That means the state budget deficit for the 2021 period will be IDR 1,006,4 trillion, equivalent to 5.7 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
"So this all shows that our APBN is working hard to restore and encourage the economy," closed the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
