Police Arrest 2 Students Who Will Depart To Turkey For Bringing Fake PCR Test Results At Pekanbaru Airport
PEKANBARU - Pekanbaru Police Chief, Kombes Pria Budi, said five perpetrators who used fake PCR test results were arrested on Sunday at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport Pekanbaru. Two of them are students who will go to Turkey.
"The security chronology of the perpetrators was carried out on Sunday (22/8) at around 16.00 WIB at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport," said Kombes Male Budi to reporters in Pekanbaru quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 25.
He said the five people were secured through information from the airport that several people wanted to go to Jakarta using a fake PCR letter. These five perpetrators were processed with three incidents.
First, there are two suspects, namely HA (38), a male suspect and a female initials LS (32). Both of them used a PCR letter from Eka Hospital. The contents were negative for COVID-19.
"From the depth of investigators, suspect HA faked a PCR letter in the Empat Perintis Hamlet, in Kunto Darussalam, Rohul. HA and LS work in Jakarta, using Batik air planes, not husband and wife, they both work in Jakarta," said Pria Budi .
The two suspects, the initials NA (22) and AD (21) are students who will go to Turkey. They, said Pria Budi, also used a negative PCR letter from the Eka hospital.
"Based on the deepening of the letter, a friend of HF, a student in Turkey, edited it. Then it was sent via WA, then printed here. The two students were about to leave for Jakarta, Sunday (22/8) using a Citilink plane," he said.
The last case, explained Pria Budi, was the initials MZ (47) from the negative PCR results from Awal Bros Hospital. According to MZ, the suspect received a letter from a woman with the initials S. However, this last name is currently a DPO status and is being chased by officers.
"For the suspect MZ, he admitted that he planned to go to Jakarta on Sunday (22/8) using a Citilink plane," he said.
The five perpetrators, he said, were subject to Article 35 Juncto Article 51 Paragraph (1) and/or Article 32 Juncto Article 48 Paragraph (1) Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and/or Article 263 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment for 12 years or a fine. IDR 12 billion.
