Security Guard In Kendari City Threatened With Life In Prison For Involvement In Drug Trafficking
KENDARI - The Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate arrested two male drug dealers of methamphetamine in Kendari City. One of the perpetrators works as a security guard.
Director of Drug Investigation of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Kombes Muhammad Eka Faturrahman said the two perpetrators had the initials A (35) a security guard and R (21). They were arrested Wednesday morning.
"Suspect A was arrested after sticking him at the boarding house on Jalan Balai Kota IV, Lorong Pelangi, Pondambea Village, Kadia District, Kendari, Wednesday, at 01.00 WITA in the morning," he said, Antara, Wednesday, August 25 evening.
From A's hands, the police secured evidence (BB) suspected to be 28 sachets of shabu-shabu with a weight of 17.81 grams. Based on the statement of suspect A, the police then carried out developments and again arrested another suspect, namely R.
Suspect R was arrested at his residence on Jalan Lumanda, Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari at around 02:43 WITA.
"The team conducted a search and witnessed by the public, three small sachets were found to be suspected of containing methamphetamine, weighing 19.34 grams," he explained.
He revealed that the arrest of the two suspects started from public information about the existence of illicit narcotics trafficking in the area where the crime occurred (TKP) with a sticky system transaction.
Currently, the suspect and evidence are at the Head of the Directorate of Drug Investigation at the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police for further investigation and development.
The two suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of capital punishment or life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of six years and a maximum of 20 years.
