Jakarta Composite Index Closed Up 0.15 Percent To Level 4,904.09

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed higher at the weekend. JCI on Friday, June 26, closed up 0.15 percent or 7.36 points to 4,904.09 levels.

Closing the trade, 211 stocks rose, 190 stocks fell, and 170 stocks were stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 6.20 billion shares and was transacted for IDR 5.45 trillion.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama said, the strengthening of the JCI was due to the market appreciation of rising world commodity prices. The market also appreciated the decline in US jobless claims data.

"On the other hand, the market also appreciates that the European central bank is committed to preparing new liquidity facilities for central banks outside the European region," Nafan told VOI.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Integra Indocabinet Tbk (WOOD) which strengthened 8.11 percent to IDR400, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) which strengthened 7.33 percent to IDR322, and PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) which gained Rp1,165.

Meanwhile, stocks that are among the top losers include PT Diamond Citra Propertindo Tbk (DADA) which weakened 6.61 percent to Rp113, PT Pacific Strategic Financial Tbk (APIC), which fell 5.14 percent to Rp830, and PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure. Tbk (TBIG), which weakened 2.63 percent to Rp1,110.
