Neighbors Persecuted Neighbors In Pulogadung, Police Check TKP Investigate Perpetrators

JAKARTA - Head of the Pulogadung Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Heru and his staff admitted that they were investigating an incident of abuse experienced by a domestic helper (ART) in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta. The abuse carried out by a neighbor's house was caught on CCTV camera. The video then went viral on social media.

Seen in the video, the female victim in black came out of the house where she worked. While the perpetrator is a man seen sitting in front of his house. That's when the persecution took place.

"We have checked the crime scene. So it is opposite the house, the household member and the neighbor (perpetrator)," explained the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Pulogadung, AKP Heru, quoting PMJ, Tuesday, August 24.

Heru said the incident occurred on Monday, August 23. However, at this time the victim has not made a report to the police station regarding the abuse she experienced.

"We have also suggested for victims to make an LP, but so far we have not made it," he said.

Previously, a video circulated on social media of alleged abuse of a household assistant or ART in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta. The incident was uploaded to the siskommas_pulogadung Instagram account.

In its statement, the account reported that the household member was abused by pulling his hair until he was pinned to the wall. The perpetrator of the persecution is known to be a man who is said to have often had problems with his neighbors.

"He was abused, his hair was pulled by our neighbors and he was pinned on the wall. The perpetrators often have problems with their neighbors, please follow up," said the statement on the account.
