These Are 34 Regencies/cities Outside Java-Bali That Are Still PPKM Level 4 And Have Been Extended Until 6 September
JAKARTA - The government has decided that PPKM Level 4 in 34 regencies/cities outside Java-Bali will be extended until 6 September. The decision was taken because the number of COVID-19 cases was still high.
Based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 36 of 2021, the districts/cities outside Java-Bali that have been extended the implementation of PPKM Level 4 are Banda Aceh City, Medan City, Pematangsiantar City, Padang City, Pekanbaru City, Jambi City, Palembang City, and Bandar Lampung City.
Next are Banjarmasin City, Palangkaraya City, Balik Papan City, Samarinda City, Tarakan City, Makassar City, Palu City, Manado City, Kupang City, and Jayapura City.
Furthermore, PPKM Level 4 was also implemented in Batanghari Regency, Bangka Regency, East Lampung Regency, Pringsewu Regency, Kotabaru Regency, Tanah Bambu Regency, Tanah Laut Regency, Kutai Kertanegara Regency, East Kutai Regency, Paser Regency, East Luwu Regency, Banggai Regency, Poso Regency, Minahasa Regency, and Minahasa Regency.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto in a press conference broadcast on Monday, August 23, explained that regencies/cities at Level 4 PPKM must implement 25 percent work from office and implement strict health protocols. If there is a new cluster, the workplace must be closed for 5 days. While the capacity for places of worship is only 25 percent or 30 people, restaurants and cafes that apply to eat in place are limited to only 25 percent or 2 people per table.
"Then related to malls, (operational, red) until 20.00 hours a maximum of 20 percent with health protocols and regulated in the regional government," said Airlangga.
As for the capacity of tourist attractions and public facilities, the capacity is only 25 percent with strict health protocols, as well as art and sports activities.
"The maximum response is 30 people and this is expected to be limited in relation to the celebration," explained Airlangga.
He also said that export-oriented industries and their supporting sectors could operate 100 percent. However, Airlangga reminded, if a new cluster occurs, it must be closed for 5 days.
"The note is that the Pedulilindungi application is a requirement for activities or a condition for entering various activities," he concluded.
