Train Photo Activists Robbed Of Four Men With A Knife, 2 High End Cellphones Taken Away By The Perpetrators

JAKARTA - Three young photography enthusiasts were targeted by criminals in the Central Jakarta area. The gadgets used to take pictures or photos were confiscated by four perpetrators. The victim was unable to resist because the perpetrator was carrying a machete.

The incident occurred on the railroad tracks, Jalan Tongkang, Central Jakarta. The perpetrators threatened to stab the victims if they did not hand over their cellphones. Resigned, the victims named Fikri, Egi and Haidir gave up their luxury cellphones to be taken by the perpetrators.

"The perpetrators poked a machete with a wooden handle. They (the perpetrators) were 4 people, walking staggered," said victim Fikri when he came to the Johar Baru police station to make a police report, Tuesday, August 24.

The victim was told that after getting the valuables they wanted, the perpetrators ordered the victims to return to their respective homes.

"The Vivo and Realme cellphones were confiscated. They fled across the railroad tracks," said the victim, who is known to live in the Johar Baru area, Central Jakarta.

Fikri said the incident occurred right in the railroad track area.

"He took it when he crossed the rail. We are still taking photos of the train for hobbies and personal collections," he said.

The three victims then went to the Johar Baru Police Headquarters to report the incident. However, after members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Police and one of the victims checked the scene, it turned out that the location was in the Senen area.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Sector Police, AKP Suprayogo, said that the area of the incident was in the Senen area.

"The incident entered the Senen area. The victim was directed to report at the Senen Police Station," he said.
