Novel Baswedan Et Al Letter To President Jokowi Asking To Be Appointed As ASN

JAKARTA - As many as 57 employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK) sent a letter to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

They sent a letter asking for appointment as a State Civil Apparatus (ASN). This request is based on the results of the examination by the Indonesian Ombudsman and the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM).

"This letter asks the President to be appointed as a State Civil Apparatus and the basis for this employee letter is the result of an examination by two state institutions," said Hotman Tambunan, a representative of 57 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK.

According to him, based on the Ombudsman's findings there have been maladministration, abuse of authority, insertion of articles, and other violations resulting in corrective action to the KPK and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN). Meanwhile, Komnas HAM, said Hotman, found that there were 11 types of violations in the implementation of the test as a condition for the transfer of employment status.

Of the two institutions, said Hotman, there are two similarities in the results of the report, namely asking 57 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK to be appointed as ASN. Moreover, the planning, implementation, and determination of the results of the TWK are considered problematic, violating the laws and regulations so that they cannot be the basis for the appointment of anti-corruption commission employees to become ASN.

"So, it is fitting for all current KPK employees to be appointed as KPK ASN. Moreover, changing the status of KPK employees to ASN is an order in Law Number 19 of 2019," he stressed. employee status transfer requirements. However, from this number there are 24 employees who can still be fostered and appointed as ASN with the condition that they must attend state defense training and national insight.

So, the total number of employees who will actually be fired will be 51 people. However, because there are 6 members of the 24 employees who refuse to participate in the training, the number of employees who will be fired will increase to 57 people.

The 57 employees include senior investigator Novel Baswedan, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum who is also investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Anti-Corruption Campaign and Socialization of the KPK Giri Suprapdiono, and Head of the KPK Task Force Harun Al-Rasyid.
