The Existence Of An Obscene Shaman Because The People Still Believe In Mystical
JAKARTA - A man named Amir Saripudin (49) had to languish behind bars because he was involved in a molestation case. In the action, the mode is used to trick the victim by becoming a shaman or spiritual teacher.
It is not yet known the number of victims who were tricked by this mode. However, four patients who were victims of sexual abuse reported to the police. Amir has been running this activity for 1.5 years.
Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said the perpetrator's action began when the victim came to Amir's house in Depok, West Java. Intending to clean up, the victims consulted the perpetrators.
Then the perpetrator suggested that the victims undergo a flower bath ritual with the aim of getting rid of bad luck. The victims agreed to this suggestion.
"The victims took turns to bathe the flower water by the perpetrators as a ritual performed," said Yusri, Thursday, June 25.
When the victim was in the bathroom, the perpetrator's evil intentions emerged. The victim was asked to take off his clothes on the pretext of being holier. The victim obeyed the perpetrator's orders and took off all the clothes he was wearing.
Standing naked, the victim was splashed with water previously sprinkled with flowers. Then, the perpetrator began to carry out the action.
Vital body parts such as squeezing the victim's breast are the target of the perpetrator. In order not to fight, the perpetrator pretends to read a spell as if what he is doing is a series of rituals. However, at the end of his actions, the perpetrator threatened the victim not to tell anyone.
"Don't tell anyone, you will be hit by the plague or the consequences," said Yusri imitating the perpetrator's words to the victim.
For some time, the act of sexual immorality by the perpetrator could not be smelled. Until finally, on April 1, the victims reported this to the police. So, the police began investigating the case and ended up being arrested for the obscene shaman.
Public trustGajah Mada University sociologist, Sunyoto Usman, said the public's belief in mysticism is still high. Because if you look more broadly, the cultures in Indonesia cannot be denied that they also contain mystical elements in them.
However, for this case, the problem lies in the mindset of the victim. They seem like they can no longer find a way out of a problem so they decide to go to people who are said to have mystical abilities.
"When reason (rational, red) cannot solve the problem, people usually go to the unseen, including the shaman," said Usman.
In fact, when society has placed their trust in people who have mystical abilities, their common sense seems to disappear. Thus, all orders from the dukun or the like are considered truth and must be carried out or obeyed.
In fact, people who are said to have mystical abilities have not been proven to be true. Because in mystical practice, there are usually lots of lies or tricks.
In addition, public trust is also often used by irresponsible people. Mostly, mystical or medicinal practices are used as a business.
"The world of a witch doctor is full of lies and porn. People who go to a dukun from the start have lost their common sense," said Usman.
In fact, most of the deceptions involved involve many people as third parties who act as disseminators of information and convince potential victims.
"The dukun usually does not work alone, he has a network of collaborators that play a role in disseminating information, bridging interactions and transactions. The network also gives legitimacy that the dukun has supernatural powers that can solve various problems," said Usman.
