Anies' Subordinates Hope That Next Year Formula E In Jakarta Can Get A Sponsor

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Dwi Wahyu Daryoto hopes that DKI will get a sponsor for Formula E, which is planned to be held in 2022.

This is in response to the recommendation of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in DKI's 2019 financial report, which asks the DKI Provincial Government to seek funding sources other than the APBD in organizing Formula E.

"God willing, next year there will be a sponsor (to fund Formula E)," said Dwi to reporters, Monday, August 23.

In fact, said Dwi, Jakpro had already started looking for parties willing to participate as sponsors of the electric car racing event from the beginning of planning, before the BPK recommendation appeared.

"We've been doing it for a long time, we've always been looking for sponsorships before it was postponed," said Dwi.

It is known, in the results of the audit, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BPK Representative Pemut Aryo Wibowo said that the funding for Formula E activities was still entirely funded by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Budget.

Pemut views that Jakpro as the organizer can cooperate with other parties on the principle of mutual benefit or seek other sources of funding in accordance with applicable regulations. This can reduce the dependence of Formula E financing on the DKI Regional Budget.

"The concept of funding from a third party as sponsorship is an indispensable alternative. Based on the results of the feasibility study, the implementation of this E formula will burden PT Jakpro, so that it can erode PT Jakpro's finances," Pemut wrote in the BPK audit document.

After experiencing delays since 2020, Formula E is again planned to be held in 2022. This is stated in the Governor's Instruction (Ingub) Number 49 of 2021 concerning the Settlement of Regional Priority Issues for 2021-2022.

In this instruction, there are 28 issues that are the targets of achieving the completion of regional priority issues in 2021-2022. One of the issues on the list is the implementation of Formula E.
