Wedding Parties In West Sumatra's Pasaman Are Prohibited From 1 September

PADANG - Wedding parties in West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra from September 1, 2021 are not allowed due to the issuance of a circular letter on the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in order to control the spread of COVID-19.

"The PPKM level three circular was issued by the West Pasaman Regent on August 10. However, some considerations for the wedding party are allowed until August 31, 2021 and the ban is effective as of September 1," said the Head of the West Pasaman Regional Disaster Management Agency, Gustrizal at Simpang Empat, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 23.

He said the ban on weddings was allowed until August 31, 2021 because there were weddings that had been planned and invitations had been distributed.

"Those who have already distributed invitations and held a wedding party in August must comply with strict health protocols," he said.

His party will socialize this PPKM through officers in the sub-district and nagari or village.

"We do this PPKM in order to anticipate the spread of COVID-19 to avoid crowds," said Gustrizal.

According to him, the time limit for the wedding party has not been determined, depending on the number of COVID-19 cases in West Pasaman.

"Hopefully the COVID-19 case in West Pasaman will go down quickly so that people's activities can run as usual," he hoped.

Gustrizal asked the public to continue to comply with health protocols by wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands frequently, avoiding crowds and reducing mobility.

In the circular, it is stated that the implementation of learning in educational units is carried out through limited face-to-face learning and or distance learning.

Then limiting activities in the workplace or office by implementing a scheme of working from home a maximum of 75 percent and working in an office by 25 percent except in offices or agencies handling COVID-19, health care facilities, public service places by implementing strict health protocols.

Furthermore, the implementation of activities in essential sectors such as health, foodstuffs, food, beverages, energy, communication and information, finance, banking, payment systems, logistics, hospitality and others applies more stringent health protocols.

After that, traditional markets and other places of business tightened health protocols. For restaurants or drinking places, health protocols have been tightened. Only 50 percent of the existing capacity is allowed to serve the community and receive orders until 21.00 WIB with the implementation of health protocols.

Religious activities in mosques are adjusted to the rules of the Ministry of Religion and social and social activities are temporarily closed.

Construction activities can operate 100 percent with the implementation of strict health protocols and a maximum public transport capacity of 70 percent with health protocols.
