Viral Video TNI Members In Buleleng Bali Kick Residents, Triggers The Dandim Was Beaten
BULELENG - A video clip showing TNI members kicking a resident in Buleleng, Bali, has gone viral on social media.
Apparently, two teenagers who were kicked by TNI members hit the Buleleng Dandim from behind. Spontaneously, other TNI members acted decisively.
"During that incident, I was the Dandim of Buleleng who hit me on the head from behind, and one of the two people who were viral was beaten by a member. My head was hit from behind then I was confused about who hit me. My right and left were spontaneous, because he (a member) knew that the person was beaten. That's the story," said Buleleng Dandim Muhammad Windra when contacted, Monday, August 23.
Initially, the incident occurred when his party was conducting an antigen swab test in a village in Buleleng, Bali. This was done because previously there were 27 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 and 2 people died.
In addition, about 2 weeks ago, the people of Sidetapa gathered together and headed to the Buleleng Hospital. The masses carried out forced retrieval of the bodies of those who died confirmed COVID-19.
However, because their wishes were prevented by hospital officials, the glass of the hospital mortuary was broken.
Because of this incident, the Buleleng Police Chief coordinated with the Buleleng Dandim to secure the officers at the Santhi Graha Seririt Hospital, which was visited by the masses.
"So from the two data, yesterday I and the Head of the Buleleng Police went there while handing over the basic necessities. We discussed and from the results of discussions with community shops with the Head of the Camat and the Village Head and Kelian adat, the traditional leaders we obtained information and reached an agreement to Today we are testing and tracing the possibility of Sidetapa residents who may be positive for COVID-19," he said.
But while testing and tracing 104 people and 4 positive people were found, there was resistance. Some refuse to test for COVID-19.
Some fled and hit officers with a motorbike. From here, members begin persuasive actions.
"During that incident, suddenly I was hit in the head from behind. So the (video) on Instagram is only a part of their version. So why are we there? They are very strict and arrogant, then if our language is not want to be regulated by officers, then vaccination has the lowest achievement because they don't want to. Yes, that's the condition," he said.
Meanwhile, the two teenagers who fought back were already at home and his party had forgiven the two teenagers.
"If you want my members who were beaten earlier, they will be prosecuted by the military. But I said earlier, I personally forgive them. I was hit on the head, imagine that the Dandim who was carrying out his duties and carrying out the president's orders for testing and tracing was hit from behind. What I don't like, Why did he hit him from behind? Then, seeing the commander being beaten by my men, I reacted, something like that happened," he said.
"If they really want to apologize or don't continue this problem, I think it's okay, task risk, the risk of me carrying out my responsibilities as Dandim Buleleng. But, if they want to process it further, I also want to file a lawsuit," he said. Dandim Buleleng.
