Chandra Asri Owned By Conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu Wants Rights Issue With Target Of Funds Acquisition Of IDR 15.48 Trillion

JAKARTA - The petrochemical company PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk will hold a corporate action. The issuer with the stock code TPIA will conduct a rights issue with the acquisition of funds of IDR 15.48 trillion.

GM of Legal & Corporate Chandra Asri, Dewi Riani said that the company owned by conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu will issue Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD) or rights issue by issuing 3,794,366,013 or 3.79 billion new shares rounded up.

"The plan to use the funds for the construction of a new factory is in the form of an integrated petrochemical complex CAP-2, which consists of a naphta cracker plant," Dewi said in an official statement, quoted Tuesday, August 24.

The nominal value of the new shares is Rp.200, while the exercise price of the Pre-emptive Rights is Rp.4,802. Thus, TPIA has the potential to obtain rights issue funds of Rp. 15.48 trillion.
