McGregor Dislikes Khabib's Criticism Of Jose Aldo, The War Of Mouth Continues

JAKARTA - Conor McGregor's fight with retired UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov shows no signs of stopping.

Since McGregor's loss to Dustin Poirier, his public attacks on Khabib have intensified.

However, The Eagle - Khabib's nickname - also never held his tongue. He launched a verbal attack on McGregor and Jose Aldo who beat Pedro Munhoz recently.

Khabib claims that throughout his career he has beaten the best fighters. Not a fighter whose class is mediocre.

"He (Aldo) was beaten against Petr (Yan), right?," said Khabib referring to Aldo's defeat to Yan via technical knockout in the fifth round in early June.

"A man wins a fight and everyone starts talking. When Conor (McGregor) fights (Donald) 'Cowboy' (Cerrone), he looks like a lion. When he fights a stronger opponent, he looks like a scared chicken.

"Fighting top fighters shows your worth. The level of the Russian football team will be shown against Croatia, not Malta."

Of course, McGregor did not respond well to Khabib's comments. The Notorious reacted strongly on social media.

"This guy still talking? Another press conference? You got your pants off Cerrone your whole career," McGregor wrote on Twitter.

"You refused to fight him three times. Your father, may God protect his soul, couldn't believe his eyes with the way I beat Cerrone. You disrespected Cerrone and now Aldo too? You ran away. Shut up."

The Irish fighter did not stop there and continued to defend Aldo.

"You and Cerrone had the opportunity to fight a long time ago and you never had the courage," McGregor continued.

"You ran away and now all you do is talk like a bitch. Aldo is a 100 times better fighter than you are, and always will be."
